Intech Manager Receives SSPC Technical Achievement Award

SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings has awarded one of its 2019 Technical Achievement Awards to Intech Paint Division Manager Brad Wilder. The award was presented at the 2019 Coatings+ Conference in Orlando, FL and recognizes outstanding service, leadership and contribution to the SSPC technical committees. Wilder served as chair of the recently-published revision of SSPC QP 1 Standard Procedure for Evaluating the Qualifications of Industrial/Marine Painting Contractors (Field Application to Complex Industrial and Marine Structures).

Intech Awarded Huey P. Long Bridge Painting Project

Intech has been awarded a $19.8 million contract by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development for painting the railroad through truss portions of the Huey P. Long Bridge near New Orleans, LA. Opened in 1935 and widened in 2013, the bridge carries US 90 and railroad over the Mississippi River. The highway portions of the truss were painted under a previous contract.

Intech has been featured in the March 2016 bonus issue of the Journal of Protective Coatings and Linings. The company was listed in the "Market Drivers: The Top Players in 2015 Infrastructure Coating," ranking third in Most Painting Money Awarded for bridge structure projects in 2015. Intech's Crescent City Connection project in New Orleans was also named the #2 coating contract of 2015.
